JONATHAN BOROFSKY [American Installation Artist, born in 1942]

”Running people”

SUSAN ETKIN [A New York artist, born in 1955]

She has been successfully working in various mediums in two and three-dimensions for many years. Suzan Etkin's work seems divided against itself: though her concerns merit a certain clarity, enigma is pursued with such anxiety that in the end it is somewhat starved of meaning. Etkin has said that she hopes to achieve "a continuing provocation, an ongoing question," in her work, citing Marcel Duchamp as a fundamental influence.

RICHARD HAMBLETON [1954 Born Vancouver, Canada]

”Untitled 1, 2”

MARK KOSTABI [American, born in 1960]

Mark Kostabi (born 1961) is one of the seminal artists to emerge from the East Village in the early 1980's. He has had 160 solo exhibitions worldwide and his work is in the permanent collections of The Museum of Modern Art, New York, The Metropolitan Museum of Art, The Solomon R. Guggenheim Museum of Art, New York, The Brooklyn Museum of Art, The Corcoran Gallery of Art, Washington D.C. and The National Gallery of Art in Rome among others.

RICHARD PRINCE
[Panamanian-born American Painter and Photographer, born in 1949]

Mining images from mass media, advertising and entertainment since the late seventies, Prince has redefined the concepts of authorship, ownership, and aura. Applying his understanding of the complex transactions of representation to the making of art, he evolved a unique signature filled with echoes of other signatures yet that is unquestionably his own.

LOUIS RENZONI [Born 1952]

”Night scene”

CAMERON SHAW [Born 1956]

Containers fascinate. You automatically want to know what's inside them. Part of the fascination of Cameron Shaw's works is that they appear to be battered old boxes with evocative pictures on the front and heaven knows what inside. You want very much to make a connection between the images on the front -- early 20th-century photos, copies of a letter written by George Washington, or, most daringly, a pure blazing white rectangle --.

HANNAH WILKE [American Photographer, 1940-1993]

”Hamilton photo”
