Jan Jörnmark

Sedan 1993 har Jan skrivit flera böcker om internationell företagsamhet och globalisering. Fenomen som innovationer och strukturell förändring har fascinerat honom så länge jag han minnas. Här skapas också ett gränsland där ämnena ekonomi och historia korsas. De mest kända böckerna är naturligtvis Övergivna Platser (2007) och Övergivna Platser Två (2008). I år kom också Avgrunden.

Jan Jörnmark arbetar vid Chalmers och Handelshögskolan i Göteborg och har ofta haft uppdrag för Nationalencyklopedin. Blev doktor i ekonomisk historia 1993 och är idag docent. Blev utsedd till årets bäste lärare på Handels i Göteborg 1996 och 2006. På Chalmers fick han förtroendet att hålla 2007 års William Chalmers föreläsning, och han utsågs också till årets bästa lärare på Institutionen för Industriell Ekonomi år 2006. Jan föreläser även regelbundet på många företag och offentliga institutioner.

Jan Jörnmark work at Chalmers and Gothenburg School of Economics and has often worked on behalf of the National Encyclopedia. Became a PhD in economic history in 1993 and is currently Assistant Professor. Was named the year’s best teacher at the School of the Gothenburg 1996 and 2006. At Chalmers, he was trusted to hold the 2007 William Chalmers lecture, and he was also named the year’s best teacher at the Department of Industrial Engineering in 2006. January also lectures regularly at many companies and public institutions.
